The Golden Obsidian is our signature swirl bar: one half colored with turmeric powder, the other with activated charcoal, hand-swirled together so no two bars ever come out with quite the same pattern of gold through black. It's scented with a three-oil blend of tea tree, lemongrass, and cedarwood, clean and green up front, with a warm, woody base underneath.

Turmeric brings its familiar warm golden tone, while activated charcoal has long been known to help draw impurities from the surface of the skin; together they make this our most visually dramatic bar as well as one of our more multi-purpose ones. Tea tree and lemongrass keep the scent bright and clean, while cedarwood settles it into something more grounded.

Expect a soft grey-gold lather, a normal and expected effect of swirling turmeric and charcoal together, not a sign of an inconsistent batch.

Sodium Olivate, Sodium Tallowate, Sodium Cocoate, Sodium Sweet Almondate, Sodium Castorate, Turmeric Powder, Activated Charcoal, Tea Tree Essential Oil, Lemongrass Essential Oil, Cedarwood Essential Oil, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Chloride.

How to Use & Care
  • Wet the bar and your hands or a washcloth, work up a lather, and rinse.
  • Let it dry between uses on a draining soap dish. Handmade soap lasts much longer when it isn't sitting in water.
  • Keep it out of direct shower spray when you're not using it.
  • For external use only. If irritation occurs, discontinue use.
Good to Know

Each bar is 5 oz, handmade in small batches: hand-poured, hand-cut, cured 4–6 weeks, and individually wrapped, ready for gift-giving.

Because every batch is made by hand, no two bars are exactly alike. Slight variation in color, swirl, and texture is part of the craft, not a flaw.

Our cold-process bars keep their full natural glycerin, so they clean without that stripped, tight feeling.
