The Obsidian Detox

The Obsidian Detox gets its deep, matte-black color from activated charcoal, worked directly into our cold-process base with no added dye. It's scented with a brisk trio of tea tree, eucalyptus, and peppermint essential oils, sharp, clean, and cooling rather than sweet.

Activated charcoal has long been known to help draw impurities and excess oil from the surface of the skin, which is where this bar earns its name; it's meant to feel like a reset at the end of a long day rather than a gentle morning bar. Tea tree, eucalyptus, and peppermint are each known for their crisp, invigorating character, and together they read as unmistakably clean without leaning medicinal.

Cold-processed and cured for several weeks until hard and mild, then hand-cut and left with its full natural glycerin content, The Obsidian Detox lathers into a soft charcoal-grey foam rather than staying jet black, a normal and expected part of how activated charcoal behaves in a real lather.

Each bar is handmade in small batches from the finest ingredients we can source, hand-poured, hand-cut, and individually wrapped for gift-giving straight off the shelf. Because every batch is made by hand, no two bars are ever quite identical; slight variation in color and design is part of the craft, not a flaw.
