The Velvet Dusk

The Velvet Dusk is a hand-swirled bar built around lavender in two forms: true lavender essential oil worked through half the batter, and whole lavender buds pressed into the top as a natural, unfussy finish. Purple Brazilian clay is swirled through the scented half, giving each bar its own soft, marbled pattern of muted violet against cream.

Lavender has long been known for its calm, floral character, and the clay adds a light, gentle feel to the lather without any added color or dye. Because the bar is swirled rather than colored throughout, every single one comes out a little differently... no two Velvet Dusk bars share quite the same pattern.

Built on our cold-process five-oil base and cured for several weeks before it ever reaches you, this bar keeps the full glycerin content of true soap, so it never feels stripped the way detergent bars can.

Each bar is handmade in small batches from the finest ingredients we can source, hand-poured, hand-cut, and individually wrapped for gift-giving straight off the shelf. Because every batch is made by hand, no two bars are ever quite identical; slight variation in color, swirl, and design is part of the craft, not a flaw.
